Gravediggers Photo Essay (2)

I'm too tired for words now, and the words are too tired for me. From top to bottom:
1) The NCOs weekly(ish) poker game.
2) SFC Big Country the Benefactor gets mobbed for toys. The slow kids get toothbrushes, but the fast ones earn Beanie Babies.
3) Patrol brief. Note how I'm the only one wearing cold weather gear. You can take the kid out of the desert, but you can't take the desert out of the kid.
4) SSG Bulldog takes an Iraqi child for the ride of his life.
5) SGT Chico, SGT El Cortez, (now) PFC Boomhauer, and SPC Haitian Sensation take cover ... and a seat.
6) The classic LT radio shot.

Happy Easter to all the gravediggers, you all look so young, and the amount of responsibility you all have….. God Bless and keep you all safe body and soul

May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours

Thanks for sharing the photos. I have always been curious as to what your bunks looked like :)

I am sorry that you are tired. Wish I could send you a plethora of Rip it or whatever energy drink of your liking.

Dear Son:

The pictures are wonderful! The one of SSG Bulldog is especially wonderful! Thank you for posting them.

I hope you got some rest. I hope, too, that you got the cookies. (Even men that call themselves the "Gravediggers" need bunnies and carrots on Easter! Tee Hee!)

God Bless.

Thank you for sharing the pictures. I especially enjoyed numbers two and four. Those are the types of photos Americans need to see more of.

Happy Easter and stay safe.

Happy Easter LT G. You and the Gravediggers are in my prayers. The Bible says the effective prayer of a righteous man availeth much. I'm not that righteous, but I pray my prayers late at night when the righteous are asleep. I figure God has a better chance of hearing me then. Stay Safe,

Happy Easter Gravediggers. Stay safe; stay low; and stay alert. You're in my prayers every day.

Happy Easter LT G and to all Gravediggers. I'm tossing down a Guinness Extra Stout in the name of compassion since it's not available "Over There!"

Well, got to go count my stash of Beanie Babies and then ask Frau OldGrouchy what she's willing to do with them. If any Gravedigger got an idea of what to do with the BB's let me know.

Happy Easter to you all there in that place of confusion and strife. I hope that you all get home in one piece and tranquility to your sleeping moments when not in the grinder. Gregory Copleand

Lt G & the Gravediggers,

May the light of hope find you in your dark moments,
May the calm of peace find you when anxious,
May you feel the love sent with these wishes, and
May your time pass quickly so as to speed your return home.

God bless you all, and all that you watch over. Thank you for sharing your life with us, even if we can't be there in person with you. Know that there are many here who would like to be there, if only to fetch you Rip Its!

Happy Easter! Good photos. Man, that place looks like sand, dust, and more, sun baked, sand. Am I getting that right?

Get that sleep. We can wait to hear you're OK.

Action on the Green Zone. Rumors are that things might get hotter everywhere. Really a good time to take no chances what so ever.

Keep Boomhauer and the 'rough man' handy. And, of course, prayers for you all. . .

I am going to make sure my rep in Congress gets as little sleep as you guys untill he can make me understand why you guys have to put up with all this bullshit rules of engagement. If he tells me he understands then I will ask him who he works with that "doesn't understand" and i will wake that cocksucker up and so on untill we find out who the mindless bastard is. My dad is 94 and is reading your blog with me. He saw combat in ww2 and he just shakes his head. Quietly shaking his head says it all.
Stay safe and God's speed.
